Susan E. Carpenter | Visit Guest Book Carpenter, Susan E. VOORHEESVILLE Susan (Sue) E. Carpenter, died at her home, surrounded by love and prayers and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, May 28, 2007, after a courageous four year battle with cancer. Sue was born in Ticon-deroga, N.Y. on November 12, 1952 and was the daughter of the late William A. and Catherine (Kate) Roderick Carpenter. She was raised in Port Henry and attended St. Patrick's Elementary School. In 1967, she moved with her family to the Albany area. She was a graduate of Guilderland High School. Sue was an LPN and had been employed for 15 years at Certified Allergy and Asthma Consultants where she made many wonderful and cherished friends, and whose love and support were a great comfort to her during her illness. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of them. Sue is survived by her sister, Catherine (Cathy) Carpenter of Voorheesville. She is the niece of Margaret (Jane) Roderick and Eleanor Hughes, both of Port Henry, Shirley Sikoskie of Stottville and Charles F. Carpenter of South Pasadena, Fla. Sue will be remembered by her family and friends for her love and trust in the Lord, her generosity and caring ways, her courage, the sparkle in her eyes, and her wonderful sense of humor which she managed to hold on to throughout her illness. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Rufus Collea and the caring staff of NYOH at Albany Medical Center and the loving and caring people at Albany Community Hospice, especially Sheila, Michelle, Sister Ann and Carol. The family would also like to thank all of their wonderful neighbors, very special friends and members of the Cornerstone Christian Church for their many acts of kindness over the last four years. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Port Henry on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. There will be no calling hours.
