My sister , Sue passed almost two years ago now. She had breast cancer , and survived for many many years after "beating it" until the cancer came back in different form. She lived a full life , as her yearbook quote stated, that was her hope. But if you knew her , you realize she was such a wonderful ,caring person. She became an RN and was a Mother to 3 sons and 1 daughter. Her path in life was hard at times , but she walked it with strength and dignity. We will always remember her beautiful smile , and laugh. She would want everyone to know her legecy lives on , through her 4 wonderful children. Although the world is a little dimmer without her now , she lives on in many of our hearts. Please take a moment and remember her. Young , laughing , with that big smile ......
Sue was my best friend in grade school and in our early teens---I used to hang out at her house alot (she loved watching skiing on TV, olympic events and anything having to do with the Beatles; especially Paul McCartney---whom we both adored at that time!) and we would eat cucumber salads. I also knew her mom well (she was a waitress at Howard Johnson's for years!) We reconnected as adults; I again spent alot of time at her house; her sons were close with my daughter Sarah (in fact---Sarah had a major crush on her son Jules when they were quite young---I have a photo of Sarah kissing his cheek and him making a face, as he was too young to be interested in girls/or to let anyone know it!) :) (and my girls and her boys would hang out and watch Michael Jackson videos together--- I also babysat for her youngest daughter, Jenna a couple of times when she was a baby) Sue became close with my mom (they were both nurses) -- a reconnection from our childhoods---she always loved my mom! Sue was always positive, full of energy, and spirit---I was so sad to hear of her passing (I admired the way she handled her illness with positivity/strength, faith and optimism) I am sure she is very much missed by her family and friends.
